1. Who we are

CV Wise is a service that generates PDF resumes. This document explains what data we collect when you use the site, what it is used for, and how you can delete it.

2. Data we collect

What you type into the builder: name, contact details, work experience, education, skills, and a photo if you upload one.

A technical identifier stored in a browser cookie, used only to recognize your resume between visits — this is not an account and requires no password.

Your IP address and the country detected from it: the country sets language, currency and price; the IP is stored with the resume for fraud prevention and support.

Technical payment records (amount, currency, status, Mercado Pago, Stripe or PayPal reference), kept for accounting and support purposes.

If you create an account for the online page: username, email and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash).

3. What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. We do not require an account, confirmation email, or password to use the builder.

4. Who your data is shared with

Mercado Pago (only in Brazil), Stripe or PayPal, to process payment — they receive the amount, a reference number and, for Mercado Pago, the email you typed in the resume (to prefill checkout). Never the rest of your resume content.

A cryptocurrency processor, only if you choose to pay with crypto.

An email delivery service, only if you use the "send by email" option, and only to deliver the PDF to the address you provide.

An IP geolocation service, to detect your country and adjust language and currency automatically.

5. How long we keep it

Drafts that were never paid are deleted automatically (with the photo) 60 days after the last edit, or earlier when you use the "Delete my data" button. Paid resumes remain available for re-download; when you delete one, the personal data and photo are removed and only the accounting record of the sale remains (amount, date, payment reference).

6. Your rights

You can delete your resume and photo at any time, with no justification needed, using the "Delete my data" button inside the builder. For any other request about your data, write to the email at the bottom of this page.

7. Security

The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Photos get a random file name and are not listed anywhere, and their hidden metadata (such as GPS location) is removed on upload. The photo and details on your online page (/@username) are public by nature while the page is published.

8. Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies — our own or third-party — which is why we don't show a consent banner.

cp_cv: keeps the private key of your resume in this browser (60 days).

Session (PHPSESSID): keeps you signed in, remembers the language you picked and protects forms against forged submissions (up to 30 days).

cp_lang: remembers the language you chose in the language picker (1 year).

cp_tz: stores your device's time zone, used to show the correct price for your country and prevent payment fraud (1 year).

The site's fonts and images are served from our own server. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; without cp_cv, the draft can no longer be opened in this browser.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
